2025 Spring Baseball

Welcome to Huntington West Little League Spring Registration!

Come join in the fun of America’s favorite pastime this coming Spring! Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned player, we’ve got a place for you to improve baseball skills & player development, learn life lessons, enjoy competitive games, and make friends that will last a lifetime. All players must be 4-14 years of age by August 31, 2025 to participate in the upcoming season.

Registration is open through November 23, 2024

* If you register after November 23, 2024 you will be placed on a waitlist and your spot is not guaranteed as the registration deadline has passed. If you are accepted from the wait list, players registering for Minor C and above will need to attend a tryout before being placed on a team. You will be notified via email if you are accepted from the wait list.

Full registration payment will be due 24 hours after you are notified
Please note, there may be a delay in receiving player jersey and hat

Refund Policy:

• If you ask to withdrawal before being placed on a team, refund will be given minus the third party processing fee ($35 dollars)

• If a player has been assigned to a team, refund will not be available

Key Dates:

Try outs (ages 6-14): December 7th-8th, 2024
Make up tryouts: December 14th, 2024
ALL CHILDREN registered for Minor C and above MUST ATTEND TRYOUTS even if their parent is a coach or a member of the HWLL board

Who is eligible:

• Kids league ages 4-14 by August 31, 2025

Registration Costs/ Details:

• Ages 4-5: $240/ $275

• Ages 6-12: $265/ $300

• Ages 13-14: $315/ $350

• EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: Register between September 10, 2024 and October 10, 2024 to receive a $35 early bird discount (will be applied at checkout.)

• Registration between October 11 - November 23, 2024 will be at the regular price based on age key listed above

• Sports Connect (the company that powers the HWLL website) charges a $3 processing fee for registration transactions

• Note, the maximum per family is $600 for registration. Please register through the normal process and the dollar amount will be adjusted at check out

LIVE SCAN REQUIREMENTS:

All managers, team moms, coaches, and volunteers interacting with the players for more then 6 hours per month are required to complete a LIVE SCAN. HWLL will cover the cost for LIVE SCAN when using California LIVE SCAN.

Special Requests:

• Ages 4-5 are non-competitive, and parents can request teammates/coaches through the registration process (we try to grant all requests, but it is not guaranteed)

• Ages 6-14 are determined by a draft, so players may not end up on the team/ division preferred

• Due to a supply shortage of jerseys and hats, we may not be able to switch jerseys and hats for larger or smaller sizes. We will order based on the size listed on the enrollment form. Please be sure to verify your child's size before submitting the form.

• Sizes may vary depending on demand and supply

Document Verification:

•There will be in-person document checks this year. Please keep a look out your emails and social media for dates and locations.

Document Verification Requirements:

• Proof of Age: Original Birth Certificate (no copies or passports)

• 3 Proofs of residency: Original documents only (no copies) OR School Enrollment Form (recommended as only one form is required for verification versus three proofs of residency)

Residency rules for the 2025 season:

• RESIDENCY AND SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ELIGIBILITY - Beginning with the 2017 season, the following changes will be implemented for establishing residency and school attendance eligibility:

• A school issued report card or performance record will no longer be accepted to establish school attendance must have a school enrollment form filled out.

• Residence shall be established and supported by documents containing the full residence which includes parent(s) or guardian(s) name, street address, city, state and zip code information, dated or in force between

February 1, 2024 (previous year) and February 1, 2025 (current year), from one or more documents from EACH of the three Groups outlined below:

Group I:

1. Driver's License

2. School records

3. Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)

4. Employment records

5. Insurance documents

Group II:

1. Welfare/childcare records

2. Federal records (i.e., Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.)

3. State records

4. Local (municipal) records (i.e. water bill)

5. Support payment records

6. Homeowner or tenant records

7. Military records

Group III:

1. Voter's Registration

2. Utility bills (i.e., gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)

3. Financial records

4. Medical records

5. Internet, cable, or satellite records

Note: Three documents from the same group (utility bill, cable bill, and bank statement) constitute only ONE document.

TIP! If your child is selected for an All-Star team, these records will need to be provided again and turned into the district administrator. It is a good idea to keep these records in a safe place so that you have access to them once again at the end of the season.
